The EIZO ColorEdge CG2420 is a 24.1" self-calibrating monitor designed for professionals requiring high levels of colour accuracy. The ideal choice for photography, design, print, and post production, the CG2420 features a built-in calibrator, vivid colours reproduced to industry standards, and exceptionally high contrast for producing true blacks.
With the CG2420 colour management is simple and precise. The bundled ColorNavigator software allows you to either select a desired preset or assign values for brightness, white point, and gamma, while the sensor housed within the front panel allows you to automate your calibration.
The wide colour gamut of the CG2420 reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB space and 98% DCI-P3. Using the DisplayPort or HDMI inputs, the ColorEdge CG2420 offers 10-bit simultaneous display from a 16-bit look-up-table (LUT) which means it can show more than one billion colors simultaneously. It has also been adjusted at the factory to ensure smooth colour gradations, and has uniformity from corner to corner thanks to EIZO's patented digital uniformity equalizer (DUE) technology which ensures a Delta-E difference of 3 or less across the screen. The CG2420 takes only 3 minutes for its brightness, chromaticity, and tone characteristics to stabilize.
The cabinet for the CG2420 has a sleek, user-friendly design. The slim cabinet features unobtrusive frames that are 39% slimmer than its predecessor's so you can focus more on the screen. It also features a useful built-in carrying handle, electrostatic switches and three easy-to-access USB 3.0 ports, including one port for battery charging devices such as a smartphone. DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI-D inputs are included and the monitor comes with a versatile stand that offers height, tilt, and swivel adjustments as well as portrait display.
The CG2420 is equipped with an IPS non-glare panel for high visibility. It also uses dimming technology to minimize flicker and help prevent eye fatigue. The HDMI input of the ColorEdge CG2420 supports I/P (interlace/progressive) conversion for converting the interlace signals from TV and video into progressive signals for flicker-free display.
The CG2420 comes bundled with a newly designed shading hood which attaches to the monitor magnetically. ColorEdge monitors are backed by a manufacturer's 5-year warranty that covers all components including the LCD panel. EIZO guarantees its ColorEdge monitors will be free from bright sub-pixels for six months from the date of purchase and the brightness and color of the ColorEdge CG2420 is warranted for up to 10,000 hours from the date of purchase (terms and conditions apply).
