Archiware are manning booth SL15416 at NAB 2019, where they'll be previewing Version 6 of the P5 suite and demoing backup and archive to LTO from QNAP.
Version 6 of P5 features new, state-of-the-art underlying technology, and a new GUI which we can't wait to get a look at. Archiware P5 is currently the only solution on the market that allows data backup and archive from a QNAP NAS to a directly attached LTO tape device. They're demoing their unique QNAP-LTO workflow live on the stand. To celebrate this, they've extended their A5 Desktop Edition offer until December 31st.
Another innovation we're keen to see in action is the KYNO Media Management app, developed by Archiware and Lesspain Software to enable easier offload of your finished projects to long term storage. Archiware are billing this as "a beautiful, easy-to-use, all-in-one tool for your media production", and you can see it for yourself on booth SL11109.
Archiware have also thrown their weight behind the new Media Innovation Cloud Alliance, a new initiative spearheaded by Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage. The Alliance brings together companies and services that span the media lifecycle, from transfer and ingest to editing to delivery to archive. Find out more here.
