Today, mLogic, the leader in Thunderbolt LTO tape archiving solutions announced that the company is expanding its product line to include high-speed RAID solutions designed specifically for digital content creators and post production professionals.
The new mSpeed desktop RAID systems feature 8 or 12 removable drive modules, Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and data transfer rates up to 2600MBps.
mSAN, an innovative shared storage system, enables up to four computers to directly attach to the unit via Thunderbolt 3, empowering collaborative workflows for a fraction of the cost of traditional SAN systems. Both units are bundled with a full version of KYNO – the smart all-in-one media management app for macOS and Windows.
“We’ve deployed an mLogic mSpeed RAID for a 4K dailies project. We use it to transcode 4K raw media and play back 4K raw on a Blackmagic Resolve system at our facility. It works amazingly well,” said Ramy Katrib, CEO of DigitalFilmTree. “We really like the flexibility of adding our own drives to tailor the performance to the needs of each show. We loaded the unit with SSDs so it's smoking fast!”
“Our new mSpeed and mSAN Thunderbolt 3 storage solutions use enterprise-class RAID controllers that offer superior performance and protection at a price that is unmatched in the industry,” said Roger Mabon, CEO of mLogic. “The units ship unpopulated enabling users to add their own hard drives or SSDs or a combination of both. mSpeed is the ideal high-speed RAID for content creation applications and mSAN is the only Thunderbolt shared storage solution on the planet.”
