With heightened concern around coronavirus, organisations from both the public and private sector are asking people to work in an entirely different way. This has left businesses, schools and others scrambling to get remote access tools so people can remote work with some semblance of normality. For those unfamiliar with remote working, this can be a challenge. Luckily, Adobe have announced some great initiatives to support schools and businesses…
In response to the crisis, many schools and universities are building disaster mitigation plans and preparing for school-wide closures. To support institutions around the world, Adobe will be providing any school or university that has Creative Cloud access with temporary licences for their students and faculty to use at home, at no additional cost.
These temporary licences will be available until 31st May 2020, and Adobe will bring forward or move back this date based on how the situation evolves. This is great news for students at critical exam times, who’ll be able to continue their learning remotely with less disruption.
Adobe will enable Creative Cloud desktop app access for students and faculty who are part of an eligible educational organisation. All Creative Cloud desktop apps that are available in an All Apps subscription will be available.
Please note, schools and universities will need to request access to participate in this programme.
To be eligible, your institution must be a current customer with an active Device, Shared Device Licence, or Serial Number plan. This temporary access will apply to those who have an Adobe ID, Federated ID or Enterprise ID in your Adobe Admin Console. The temporary licenses may be provided and removed at Adobe’s sole discretion.

In both businesses and schools, it’s vital that people are able to communicate and collaborate effectively. But with many employees and students now being asked to work remotely, businesses need to find an effective way to enable collaboration. To support remote workers, Adobe is now offering complimentary access to Adobe Connect for up to 25 users until 1st July 2020.
Adobe Connect is a flexible web conferencing tool that lets users create virtual rooms for collaboration. These can include chat pods, polls, quizzes, breakout rooms, games and more. This means users can connect and interact with their peers in an easy and engaging way, and it’s entirely customisable to your needs.
Adobe Connect has a vital role to play for enterprises looking to continue business operations despite travel restrictions, cancelled conferences and delayed projects, all while keeping people safe. The virtual business environment lets employees join meetings, virtual conferences and training sessions from their homes, where they can continue to be productive and socially engaged.
In schools, this can be used to set up live virtual classrooms. This is especially useful for higher education, and it integrates with existing Learning Management Systems to manage and track learning and engagement.
This is available to both Adobe and non-Adobe customers. Please visit the Adobe Connect page for more details and how to sign up to this offer.
