Apple devices explained: How we help schools finance their rollouts

Trade in existing devices

This environmentally-friendly approach can go a long way in making the latest technology more affordable – and to make things even easier for you, we will pick up the devices ourselves and handle the process from there. 

Buy devices outright 

Buying your own devices upfront can be a big investment, but if you have the funding available and don’t want to put a dent in your IT budget for years to come, this could be right for you. Plus, owning your devices means there’s less pressure to allow students to take them home, if that’s something you’d rather avoid. (You can always sell devices on to pupils or their families when it’s time for a student to leave the school, which is a great way to recoup some of the initial cost). Apple devices have a long lifecycle, so even if you decide to keep them, they can bring great value to your school for years to come. 

Identifying cost savings

Deploying digital devices such as iPad or Mac can allow you to consider a paperless environment, with huge savings in printing and photocopying to be made. This in turn means you can allocate these resources to cover the costs of deployment if necessary. Teacher workload and well-being are also regularly identified as benefits when using Apple technologies, with costs reducing due to improvements in staff efficiency and turnover.
