Imagine using a compatible professional video capture, audio interface, DSP accelerator, FireWire, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, eSATA, or RAID controller card with your new Mac Pro, iMac, Mac mini, MacBook Air or MacBook Pro; this Sonnet product makes it possible.
The Sonnet Echo Express SE II supports two half length, full height, single width PCIe 2.0 x8 cards, and provides an additional space for a daughter card. It also has an 80W power supply and two thunderbolt ports to support daisy chaining of up to six devices to a single port on your computer. Weighing just 3.7 pounds and measuring only 6.5 inches wide by 11 inches long by 4.6 inches tall, the SE II is compact and lightweight, yet its rugged aluminum case provides great protection for the cards.
The Echo Express SE II's Thunderbolt 2 interface takes full advantage of increased bandwidth to ensure optimum performance from installed cards when the chassis is connected to a Thunderbolt 2-equipped computer. Need to connect to a computer equipped with 10Gbps Thunderbolt? No problem, the SE II is fully compatible with earlier generation Thunderbolt computers as well.
