Designed to handle the application loads of today's multi core processors, the SFN5162F combines 40Gbps of bi-directional line rate throughput with exceptionally low latency; making it a great choice for use in high performance computing or cloud environments. A power consumption of only 5 watts makes the SFN5162F is the most efficient card in its class, providing 5-10x the efficiency of a standard 1G Ethernet network. These power ratings mean that the SFN5162F can save data centres thousands of pounds a year in operating costs.

    Featuring support for NetQueue and VMQ in VMware and Hyper-V, and SR-IOV in KVM and XenServer, the SFN5162F optimises virtualised application performance and maximise s the use of available network resources.
