The HP Procurve 6600 series switches provide advanced switch and switch management suitable for data centre server based environments.
This 6600 series switch comes with 48 gigabit Ethernet ports capable of 10/100/1000Mbps data transfer speeds. Four of these ports are dual personality, able to also support mini-GBIC transceivers. It also comes with four additional ports capable of 10Gbps speeds, providing high level performance when your system requires it. These switches come in a 1U rackmount format with full front to back cooling, redundant fans and redundant power supplies, making them well suited to act in a stacked, rack based switch solution. They come with a complete range of management features from link aggregation to static IP routing and more.
Overall the Procurve 6600 is an excellent switch to act as the backbone of smaller data centres or large corporate networks or as edge switches on networks for larger centres.
