The LaCie CloudBox is a new storage solution from LaCie, featuring an innovative mix of local and cloud based storage that gives your data the best protection possible. With 100GB of local storage capacity, the CloudBox can be connected to your network in the same way as any other NAS (Network Attached Storage) device. However, at set intervals the CloudBox will automatically back up your data to your Online Backup account, meaning that your data is not just secure on your storage device but also safely held offsite, protected against events such as theft, fire or flood. A Gigabit Ethernet connection provides excellent data throughput to the unit. The CloudBox is also very easy to set up and use, with a simple setup wizard and browser based maintenance of your Online backup account.
