The Mackie Onyx 1640I firewire mixer combines a powerful FireWire interface with the hands-on control of a premium analogue mixer. The MACKIE ONYX 1640i is compatible with all major DAWs including Pro Tools M-Powered 8, via an optional software driver that's available via Mackie's website.
In addition to an ultra-high quality 24-bit/96kHz FireWire recording interface, the Mackie Onyx 1640i offers professional analogue features, These features include a boutique-quality Onyx mic preamps, classic "British-style" Perkins EQ and pre/post assignable aux sends, all of which can be flexibly routed via the integrated FireWire.
The Mackie Onyx 1640I is an all-purpose mixer, perfect for recording and live sound situations. The familiarity of an analogue mixer setup provides easy configuration of EQ, headphone mixes, FX sends and more. But you also gain the power to be able to plug-and-play record and add FX routing to your favourite digital audio workstation.
