The 5big Network 2 by LaCie is a five bay NAS storage unit that allows you to share, store and backup files across both Macs and PCs. Its dual Ethernet ports provide high performance data speeds while other ports provide expandability for future needs. This model comes with 15TB of capacity, allowing it to take on the most storage-intensive applications

The 5big Network 2 feature five drive bays, allowing it to provide greater capacity at most RAID levels than the standard four bay NAS units. This model comes with 3TB drives installed but also features eSATA and USB ports that allow you to connect further units for greater capacity, or to backup your data externally. Reliability is also a key feature of the 5big Network 2, as it supports multiple different RAID levels so can be easily configured to meet user needs. RAID 0 can provide boosted performance on two drives while RAID 6 protects your data from being lost if one or two of the drives fail. This allows you to store even mission critical data on the network and if needed the expansion ports can be used to backup the stored data to an external machine.

The 5big Network 2's combination of performance, capacity and reliability makes it a great network storage unit for small to medium businesses who want to make their storage solution much easier to use.
