The Prism Orpheus is a FireWire interface for personal recording and sound production, for professional musicians, songwriters, engineers and producers. Orpheus is ideal for music and sound recording, production & monitoring, stem-based mastering and analogue summing.
The Prism Orpheus provides Prism Sound's renowned performance and sound quality in a dedicated FireWire unit compatible with Windows XP & Vista and MAC OS X 10.4x (Intel & PPC). It features 8 analogue inputs and outputs, 8 channels of ADAT IO and stereo SPDIF I/O. 4 mic inputs are present, along with 2 channels of DI, MS decoding, twin headphone outputs and MIDI IO.
The Universal Audio UAD-2 Duo consists of a short form PCIe (Express) card for use in either Mac or Windows based native audio workstations. The card supplements the DSP processing of these systems, giving the computer's CPU more headroom and freeing resources for other functions that can include additional tracks, heavier mix automation or the ability to use more native effects.
The card ships with 4 bundled plug-ins that cover dynamic, EQ and reverb processing. An included voucher allows the user to purchase from Universal Audio (via the Internet) further plug-ins of their choice. Additionally, the card supports the use of other manufacturers' Audio Units, RTAS or VST plug-ins, when using the appropriate host software.
