Featuring eight 8Gb/s Fibre Channel device ports, with a further 12 unlockable via license keys, and four 10Gb/s "always on" stacking ports (no unlocking required), the 5802V provides an easy and cost - effective way to activate your storage networking backbone. Full backwards compatibility with existing 4Gb and 2Gb Fibre Channel infrastructure and compatibility with other QLogic switches ensures that previous investment in fibre is protected. To maximise flexibility, the 10Gb/s stacking ports on the 5802V can be nondisruptively upgraded to 20Gb/s, allowing users to action a big increase in their network headroom without touching a cable or purchasing any new hardware. The switch has been designed to be as easy to run as possible, with the included QuickTools software making SAN management simpler. The 5802V also ships with dual PSUs as standard.
