The UAD-2 Quad Omni from Universal Audio combines the raw power of the acclaimed SHARC DSP acceleration hardware with the complete suite of all 34 of UA's Powered Plug-Ins. It transforms your computer's digital audio workstation into a formidable mixing and mastering machine with loads of vintage compressors and EQs, warm reverbs, licensed emulations of Neve, Moog, Roland, SPL, and much more - all without taxing your host computer's CPU.
While the original UAD-1 card was a big hit with producers and project studios around the world, the UAD-2 Quad Omni offers a dramatic improvement by providing 10 times the processing power. Another improvement is the Version 5 software for managing and monitoring your UAD cards. It features driver enhancements that utilize multi-core computers, a meter that monitors activity on the cores, and a system that balances the load on the UAD-2 as well as the UAD-1. An intuitive control panel is included that allows you to purchase new plug-ins, gives you access to help and support resources, and allows you to update software.
