Steinberg Nuendo 5 is an extremely powerful native audio recording, editing and mixing platform aimed at professional sound recorders and post production facilities. Nuendo 5 sports a vast feature set tailored to film and TV editors, mixers and video game sound designers, which will help speed up your workflow and boost your creativity, while ensuring you get the best in audio fidelity and solid reliability.

Steinberg Nuendo 5 allows audio post production users to work directly with video in-session with smooth scrubbing of audio and video whilst editing. The brand new Quicktime video engine supports playout via AJA and Blackmagic cards as well as FireWire. Nuendo 5 includes an ADR toolset that dramatically speeds up the dubbing process, full surround sound mixing of virtually unlimited audio tracks in a variety of formats up to 10.2, supports most popular interchange formats including OMF, MXF and also reads CMX 3600 EDL lists provided by the video editor as well as exported and imported CSV formatted spotting and ADR lists. Nuendo offers a full real time mixing environment with advanced automation, and also clip-based editing.

When it comes to speeding up a post production workflow, Nuendo 5 offers unique tools to take the strain out of repetitive tasks. The Media Bay dynamic media database lets you lets you pre-listen files and select a portion of an event which can then simply be dragged into the project. And supports local volumes, external drives and shared storage in one place. Clip Packages allow the user to organize clusters of audio clips to be saved as a handy package for later use. Clip Packages can be inserted to any other point in the project, archived in the MediaBay and can also be ported to another workstation, if needed. Nuendo 5's monitor matrix allows you to monitor different sources from within the software, so you can listen to dialogue, sfx or music stems at the click of a button. And when your project is finished, Nuendo can perform lightning-fast offline bounces of your finished mix and all your individual stems simultaneously.

Nuendo 5 has full support for a range of console controllers including Euphonix and Smart AV for a full hands-on experience.
