V-Ray for Cinema 4D brings the respected V-Ray rendering engine to the Cinema 4D platform.

V-ray is a physically accurate rendering engine known for its speed and ease of setup. V-Ray is well integrated into Cinema 4D allowing users to work in a familiar way while configuring the render engine. Versions are available on both the Windows and OSX platforms in 32 or 64 bit versions. A single workstation license allows unlimited Cinema4D NETRender nodes for network rendering.

V-Ray is fully multi-threaded and supports an unlimited amount of CPU cores per workstation making it scale extremely well on multi-core machines. Geometry is also cached to disk and only loaded when it is required making V-Ray extremely efficient with RAM, this efficiency is increased even more with true instance rendering and support for V-Ray proxies.

The renderer supports the following features:

Physically accurate GI with a choice of Path Tracing, Irradiance Cache, Photon Map or Light Cache algorithms. GI maps can be re-used to accelerate rendering of animations or walkthroughs.
Complete support for Cinema 4D shaders and conversion of existing materials to V-Ray materials.
Several lighting options including IES compatibility, HDR images and Physical sun and Sky.
Caustics, sub surface scattering and displacement are supported.
Camera effects such as Depth of Field and motion blur.
Multi-pass rendering with compositing tag support.
