Vectorworks Spotlight + Renderworks 2012 will offer you with greater efficiency and increased productivity by providing you with a depth of 3D modelling, detailing, documentation, presentation and rendering tools.

The modelling aspect of Spotlight has been improved in the 2012 edition of the software starting with a more intuitive interface. Working in a 3D view has been made easier with modelling tools automatically detecting the working plane as you move your curser over them.

The inclusion of Renderworks opens up a whole new host of features to you. Based upon the Cinema 4D render engine the speed at which you can produce renders is greatly improved. Not only this but you can customize the lighting and backgrounds, apply artistic styles and incorporate shaders to add to the realism of your rendered image.

New to 2012 is the Soft Goods Object and improved Lightwright tool. The Soft Goods Object will allow you to easily create curtain, border and pipe-and-drape models in both straight and curved configurations. The Lightwright connectivity has been enhanced meaning that data exchange files are updated when the Vectorworks document receives focus and when a layer is deleted.

The Video Screen Objects provide you with greater flexibility to the positioning and display of Video Screen within a scene. The lenses can be placed based on distance, the screen can be programmed to glow and the lens sizes can be calculated based upon the projector and screen location.

Improvements to the overall functionality of Spotlight include coincident selection, hidden line intersection edges, faster viewport visibility navigation, streamlined zooming, new working background options, planar object support for symbol editing, viewport crop visibility settings, streamlined polyline arc editing and tangent/ normal curve creation using the Analysis Tool.
