Vectorworks Spotlight 2012 is the renowned for its lighting design capabilities. With the ability to create quick light plots, automate paperwork and visualise your design in rendered 3D views, you will be sat in the dark without it.

The intelligent Soft Good Object allows you to create curtain, border and pipe and drape models in both straight and curved configurations with ease. Add into that a more intuitive Focusing Instruments and the results you get will be exceptional.

Venue plans from facilities managers and hospitality staff can easily be imported or quickly built from scratch using the intuitive interface and tool sets. The event-planning suite means that room, stage, steps, lectern, video screens and seating can easily be designed and shown to the client to ensure they are happy.

Spotlight includes enhanced connectivity with Lightwright. The data exchange sites automatically updates when the Vectorworks document receives focus as well as updating when a layer is deleted. There is also the support for undo, documentation for duplicating lighting devices has been included and the file path limitations have been removed.

The Video screen objects provide you with greater flexibility for placement and display of Video Screens. The lenses can be placed based on distance and you can also make your screens glow and calculate lens sizes based on the projector and screen location.

The 3D capabilities within Vectorworks Spotlight are second to none. Working planes are created as you move you curser across the model, you can instantly push or pull profile geometry and reshape NURBS curves with great precision and control by moving individual or multiple vertices.
