The RME Fireface UFX is RME's flagship audio interface, offering a total of 60 channels of I/O, maximum sample rate of 192KHz and connection over Firewire and USB. Offering 4 digitally controlled mic preamps, 8 additional line inputs, 2 banks of ADAT IO, stereo AES/EBU, 8 line level outputs and twin headphone outputs, Fireface UFX offers abundant connectivity and unmatched audio quality for the serious recordist.

Fireface UFX also features TotalMix, an onboard DSP-driven mixing and routing system for all 60 channels, including EQ, dynamics and reverb/echo available on all channels. Entirely controllable via the large colour front screen, TotalMix FX can be used to provide comprehensive monitor mixing while recording and even allows the Fireface UFX to be used stand-alone. The screen also allows full metering of all 60 channels.

Fireface UFX also includes monitor switching and source selection funtions, complete with talkback, dim, listenback and mono, and can be used in conjunction with RME's remote control for true convenience.

The Yamaha HS50M is a bi-amplified, magnetically shielded nearfield monitor with 70W of power, a 5" woofer and 0.75" dome tweeter, with a bass-reflex MDF cabinet.

Similar to the NS-10M passive monitor, the HS50M is recommended as a larger, powered alternative, offering a neutral response, high headroom, balanced and unbalanced connectivity, and equal functionality in either stereo or Surround mixing applications.
