The Matrox Convert DVI Plus HD-SDI Scan Converter with Genlock features progressive DVI-D input up to 1920 x 1200. With digital (HD/SD SDI) and analogue outputs (HD/SD analogue component, S-Video and composite) the Convert DVI Plus allows you to take computer based content to air, quickly and economically. The Convert DVI Plus allows system audio to be embedded in the SDI signal. It eliminates the need for SDI audio embedders and multiple units. It is equipped with everything that high-end broadcast operations require.

The Matrox Convert DVI Plus controls are provided via a simple PC or Mac-based user interface. Users can choose to output the entire screen or a region-of-interest of any size by using their computer mouse rather than any buttons on the unit itself. Features include flicker reduction filter, an underscan mode, customizable presets with user-assignable hotkeys, password protection, and a stand-alone mode ensure optimal flexibility for many different applications. In applications where the DVI signal is not coming from a computer, but from a camera or medical device for example, Matrox Convert DVI Plus can operate independently off a PC or Mac to deliver SDI and analogue video.

The Matrox Convert DVI Plus differs from the Convert DVI because it has the following features:
