Autodesk Showcase is a powerful communication tool offering real-time 3D presentation and rendering for designers, architects and engineers to transform their work from mere visualisations into impressive presentations and movies for sales pitches.

Showcase brings design work to life, reducing the need for physical prototypes. With the 2012 release featuring accelerated raytracing, increased operability with Autodesk Inventor, new import templates and non-photorealistic effects.

Improved ease of use can be seen in the camera and animation features, including the 360 degree panoramic Orbit shot and keyframing while you can add narrative to presentations to better communicate your design intent.

Playback you storyboard clip by clip or throughout your storyboard sequence to better orchestrate your design story whilst quickly being able render work to Adobe Flash to collaborate with non-Showcase users.

New with the 2012 release is Automatic Real-time Shadows which allow you to create highly realistic imagery by automatically simulating ambient shadows for polygonal objects and adding real-time, geometry-casted shadows.

Choose from a variety of non-photorealistic effects that will further help to communicate your idea. The Styles user interface aggregates all rendering styles in one view, making it quicker and easier to explore options.

Autodesk Showcase 2012 also includes downloadable Viewer software to enable anyone to view and navigate Showcase scenes, which is particularly useful when sharing your designs with customers.
