V-Ray offers a fully multi-threaded, highly efficient rendering engine making it one of the fastest renderers available while still supporting all of the advanced features you need to create photo-realistic renders of the highest quality such as physically accurate lighting, proxy rendering, sub-surface scattering and much, much more.
New enhanced features include the ability to not only render V-Ray proxy objects faster but also to render them as point clouds. Render history for V-Ray VFB is now displayed and images can be loaded and compared directly in the V-Ray frame buffer. V-Ray 2.0 has tools that can uses .lens files to calculate and render accurate lens distortions and the VRayExposureControl plug in can be utilised for the proper exposure of regular view port and camera views. The command line tools can mass convert textures to OpenEXR files, and VrayHDRI texture dynamic loading of these tiles textures. Various V-Ray components have been integrated into the 3DS Max "create" menu.
V-Ray is one of the fastest rendering engines, harnessing cutting edge ray tracing technology for increased render performance both in speed and quality. V-Ray's high quality, high speed renders cuts production time and saves valuable CPU resources.
