Telestream Episode Engine offers server based media transcoding suitable for large scale deployments. The solution is scalable, simply start with one Episode Engine and add additional servers when required. Episode can handle a wide range of formats suitable for broadcast, DVD, mobile devices or the web.

Episode Engine features split and stick technology. This works but splitting a large file into sections and distributing each to an available core either on your machine or within the cluster. One processed all of the separate parts are rejoined. This takes full advantage of all available CPU power and achieves speeds several times faster than real time for formats such as Flash8 Windows media and H.264.
