Fontographer 5 for Mac is a Font editor for designers allowing you to design new typefaces, customize and characters to existing fonts.

Enhancements in Fontographer 5 has been created with designers in mind. Use Fontographer 5 to open and generate Type 1, TrueType, OpenType, Type 3 and Multiple Master fonts and convert old fonts into a new format. Fontographer even let's you fix problems with bad fonts and fine tune spacing and kerring. Exchange working files with FontLab Studio, TypeTool or ScanFont using the FontLab VFB format.

Top features is Fontagrapher 5 include copy-paste function or option to import outline artwork or bitmap images (with customizable auto-tracing), the ability to view all of your font's characters in the Font Window and examine or modify the font encoding. Design or change any character in the Glyph Window and edit metrics and kerning in the Metrics Window. You can also easily set up and modify technical font parameters, font naming and line-spacing settings in a comprehensive Font Info dialog and automatically improve the font's screen quality using sophisticated auto-hinting algorithms.
