The Promise SANLink Fibre Channel - Thunderbolt adapter is an out of the box solution that makes it easier than ever before to connect to a Fibre Channel SAN. For the first time, Thunderbolt enabled notebook and desktop machines can connect directly to an external Fibre Channel storage device or to Xsan or StorNext networks via dual 4Gbps Fibre Channel ports. SANLink's FC ports are full-duplex capable, with a standard LC style pluggable connector, and can each independently operate at 1, 2 or 4Gbps after automatically detecting connection speed.
The adapter is fully qualified to work with OSX and is compatible with the Thunderbolt technology that ships with all new portable and desktop Macs, meaning it offers unmatched flexibility for storage in your Mac environment. Dual Thunderbolt I/O ports enable SANLink to daisy chain up to a total of six Thunderbolt compatible devices.
