IBC 2013: Autodesk demos and deals

With 2014 out, Maya LT already here and a new service pack just delivered, Autodesk were firmly in demo mode at this year’s IBC. They’ve been streaming their demos over on the Area site (you can see some ace Smoke and 3D modelling there too), showing off the latest additions to Smoke, 3ds Max and Maya, complete with demos from some top European post houses.

However, they’ve also come up with some excellent offers to help anyone won over by the demos to update their Autodesk pipeline. First and foremost is a fantastic deal that lets you trade in any two seats of a legacy version of Autodesk software (i.e. those from before 2007, which are no longer eligible for a cut-price upgrade) for two seats of the 2014 version of the same product and only pay for one of them. The offer runs until 25th October, and includes Design and Creation Suites, the AutoCAD range, 3ds Max, 3ds Max Design, Maya and Softimage (though you’ll only be able to update from Autodesk-owned versions of Softimage).

If you don’t have two seats to upgrade, you’re still able to get the following discounts on your existing seat until 18th October:

– 20% off the SRP on Ultimate Editions of eligible Design and Creation Suites.

– 15% off the SRP on Premium Editions of eligible Design and Creation Suites.

– 10% off the SRP on Standard Editions of eligible Design and Creation Suites.

– 10% off the SRP on AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Map 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, AutoCAD ecscad, Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk 3ds Max Design, Autodesk Maya, and Autodesk Softimage.

And finally, get 20% off new seats of Smoke 2013

So that Smoke users don’t feel left out, Autodesk are giving them 20% off the cost of new seats of Smoke from the start of IBC until 20th October, meaning you can pick one up for just £2640 ex VAT.

You can find out more about the latest editions of Autodesk software (and pick up one of those great discounted licences) at our Autodesk site.
