Teradek’s wireless video transmitter, the Bolt, has received a shiny new update at NAB 2013. They’ve upped the range and reduced interference, which is awesome, but they’ve also added timecode and metadata.
This means the tiny, lightweight, wireless Bolt now provides a quick and easy way to get start/stop triggering, access to file data and timecode information. And it still has all the features that made us love it in the first place: its rechargable internal battery and its ability to transmit to multiple Teradek Cube’s at once.
According to The Offhollywood Reporter (who we also swiped this image from), Teradek are currently testing this functionality with various recorders, and will be releasing the new functionality in a future firmware update – if you already own a Bolt, this should be free.
