This year we were privileged enough to be a sponsor for the annual TIGA Games Industry Awards 2015, and were invited down to the ceremony in London on the 12th November to watch the winners be crowned. Here’s our roundup of the evening…
The big winners from the night saw Carl Cavers (Sumo Digital) take home the Outstanding Individual Award, and Space Ape Games’ Rival Kingdoms claim the prestigious Game of the Year Award, as voted by the public. We got to hang out at the beautiful 18th Century LSO St Lukes Church in London, hand out two awards, mingle with our fellow sponsors including Platinum, Gold, King, Abertay University and Havok (to name a few), and rub shoulders with some of the biggest game developers of the moment.
Some of our highlights of the night include Sony Computer Entertainment Europe taking home the prize for Best Original Game for Bloodborne, and Freejam taking home the best debut game award for Robocraft: Unleashed.
During the course of the evening our CEO Martin Balaam presented the award for Education Initiative and Talent Development, which was won by Grads in Games (Aardvark Swift), and our solutions architect Jamie Allan present the Audio Supplier award to SIDE.
