NAB 2015: AJA launches new Mini-Converters

Las Vegas, NV, NAB Conference, Booth SL2505 (April 13, 2015)— AJA Video Systems today announced a host of new Mini-Converters, powerful and portable devices that harness AJA’s proven technology for more flexible and extensible digital video workflows. The newly announced FiDO-4T-ST and FiDO-4R-ST enable quad-channel SDI to ST Fiber and ST Fiber to SDI, enabling Fiber transmission of 4K and UltraHD signals, and HA5-4K converts UltraHD/HD HDMI to 4x 3G-SDI. Read more

NAB 2015 news: Canon corner 4K with the XC-10, Atomos announce support

Canon have played their 4K card ahead of NAB 2015 in Vegas, by unveiling the XC-10. This clever compact video camera captures 4K Ultra-HD footage to internal CFast 2.0 cards at up to 305Mbps or Full HD video to an SD card at up to 50Mbps, has pro-standard 4:2:2 colour sampling and is capable of 12MP stills. Oh, and the Atomos Shogun recorder is fully approved for recording from the XC-10 too. Read more

Panasonic has announced the AG-DVX200 4K large-sensor, 4/3” handheld camcorder here at NAB 2015. The DVX200 will offer many top-end features including 4K/60p* recording, a 13X optical zoom and a V-Log L gamma curve (12 stops of latitude, target). Read more

NAB 2015: Sennheiser launches AVX wireless microphone systems for video cameras

At NAB in Las Vegas, audio specialist Sennheiser is introducing its AVX wireless microphone systems for video cameras that ensure totally stress-free audio capture. The amazingly compact AVX receiver plugs directly into the XLR of a camera, where it automatically pairs with the microphone and switches on when the camera does. The system automatically adjusts the correct audio levels and transmits using a specially protected link in the license-free 1.9 GHz range.
