    Details

The LaCie 5big Thunderbolt2 20TB is a professional 5-bay hardware desktop RAID storage array designed for creative professionals in video, post production and photography who need extreme speeds and fail-safe reliability. The 5big brings power to the professionals by unleashing the power and flexibility of Thunderbolt2 in 4K and data-intensive workflows.

This 20TB model combines 5x 4TB hot-swappable hard drives along with dual Thunderbolt2 ports that allows for simple plug and play daisy chaining. What's more the 5big features hardware RAID with support for RAID0,1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD giving you the flexibility in how your data is configured. Go for RAID0 for extreme speeds or RAID 5 or 6 with hot-swap giving you the peace of mind that a single drive in your array can fail while retaining all your data. And because it's hardware RAID, you can use the 5big on different computers without any reconfiguration or data loss.

With sustained data speeds up to 1050MB/s you'll be able to master the 4K environment. Thunderbolt2 allows for 20GB/s bandwidth including support for 4K displays. There's simple to use LaCie RAID Manager Software included and it's easy to set up and configure. It comes preformatted for Mac and preconfigured in RAID5 for both speed and data protection.

Unleash the power of the new Mac Pro and MacBook Pro with Retina Display with Thunderbolt2 and take control of next-generation workflows. In the box you'll find you 5big bundled with a Thunderbolt cable, external power supply, quick install guide and the 5x 4TB hard drives pre-populated so you can get cracking straight away.
