Deployment Infrastructure

Security, identity management, collaboration
and cloud storage, and more

If you’re deploying Apple devices in your organisation, we offer everything you need to roll them out and make sure your infrastructure’s supported. This includes security, identity management, collaboration, cloud-based storage and mobile architecture, all supported and fully integrated into your existing technology stack.

  • Security

    What is it?

We offer consultancy to help you adhere to best practice and regulatory security standards. We provide and manage boundary firewalls, to protect our clients’ networks against unauthorised access from the internet. These include user access controls in the form of identity, data loss prevention controls, account management and management of special access privileges. Also included are device controls from MDM to hardened macOS builds, as well as patch management services to ensure you’re always up to date.

    What problem does it solve?

Our specialist services for enterprise are designed to help you meet your security mandates. We have experts in all areas of Apple deployment, and provide these services to a wide range of business across a wide range of sectors, constantly improving to offer the best possible solutions.

    What are the benefits?

    • Ensuring you are compliant with Cyber Essentials security certification.
    • Ensuring adherence with any additional regulations your business may be bound by.
    • Increasing your professionalism and enhancing you reputation with your end users.

  • Identity management

    What is it?

Identity management allows us to provide authentication – ie verifying someone’s identity and authorisation to check and permit/deny access to required resources – ensuring the right people have the right access to resources when they need them.

    What problem does it solve?

Businesses are constantly consuming more and more services, both on premises and in the cloud, and so can often end up with multiple identities for each service. With our identity management services, we consolidate them to a centrally managed solution that encompasses all services. We’ve been integrating into services for 25 years, so have a broad range of Apple knowledge and the ability to tie together all the services we provide.

    What are the benefits?

    • A single point of management for all services, ie you only need to provision a user in a single location and in turn that will grant them access to your email, CRM, cloud services and more.
    • Employees only need one set of credentials to remember.
    • When an employee leaves, you only need to disable one user account.

  • Collaboration

    What is it?

We provide solutions for collaboration and enterprise file sharing through SharePoint or OneDrive, as part of either office 365 or standalone software. The shared storage model provides a large storage array running Oracle Solaris, providing a central repository for your essential assets.

This solution allows all Mac users within the company to work on the assets as part of your workflow. The SharePoint or OneDrive solution creates a project-based repository for the Office suite of software documents to be shared between a team, allowing for better collaboration and centralised storage.

    What problem does it solve?

When working on shared documents or assets, these solutions allow multiple users to work on the same files, opening and saving them from and to a shared area. All access rights and permissions are managed through our service desk function. As the UK’s leading Apple specialist, with 25 years’ experience, we’ve set these solutions up for many customers before and can apply changes, manage permissions and assist in the lifecycle of documents, providing advice and guidance on workflows for business assets.

    What are the benefits?

    • Ensure users have visibility over the same information, with an audit trail of who worked on the documents and the changes applied.
    • Allow multiple users to work on the same files at the same time.
    • Have all access rights and permissions managed through our service desk.

  • Cloud-based storage

    What is it?

We provide a backup service called Backup24. This involves a backup of changed assets with full snapshotting on a daily basis, ensuring that all stages of the assets are captured and stored offsite every day. Simple restores are provided as part of this service and, as we take snapshots, any version of the file can be provided back to you as required. Backup24 is ideal for businesses that have volumes of assets that need to be backed up.

We can also implement and advice on OneDrive or ways to use DropBox within the business for easy centralised cloud-based storage of shared files.

    What problem does it solve?

Enterprise businesses are not usually set up to back up assets – business backup systems are designed for document backup. Backup24 solves this. As we’ve spent 25 years looking after businesses and their workflows, we understand the needs of enterprise users, which informs our solution design, implementation and services.

    What are the benefits?

    • Backup24 is designed for backing up large assets and bespoke solutions are available for larger backups.
    • The system is very reliable as a human checks the backups have run every day and, if there is a problem, the backups can be re-run depending on the volume of changed data.
    • Small restores are included as part of the service.

  • Mobile architecture

    What is it?

Expanding on the services provided natively by iOS and macOS, we help our customers to bring their line of business systems to mobile platforms. Granting users access to their core systems from mobile devices opens up a new world of productivity and access.

    What problem does it solve?

As the workforce becomes increasingly mobile, we aim to bring enterprise services to your mobile users. With 25 years’ experience of Apple and expertise with mobile devices, we can help you through the entire process of going mobile, including mobile applications and services, devices, security and deployment, wireless infrastructure, data storage and pre-built third party solutions.

    What are the benefits?

    • Give your users mobile access to your corporate solutions.
    • Increase productivity by letting users log on to core services whenever.
    • Receive on-demand services regardless of location.
