The Avid HD OMNI audio interface is a complete tracking, monitoring and routing interface for Pro Tools HD. Two microphone preamps and four line level inputs allow you to record pristine audio at up to 192kHz. The OMNI interface also comes complete with Avid's "Curv" soft limiting to prevent clipping, whilst 8 analogue outputs allow monitoring at up to 7.1 formats. If you need to interface with lots of digital equipment, HD OMNI offers 8 channels of AES/EBU, 8 channels of ADAT and stereo SPDIF
As well as being Avid's most comprehensive audio interface to date as far as I/O is concerned, OMNI HD also acts as the control room hub of the studio. You can choose to monitor in stereo or surround (up to 7.1 with fold down to stereo), whist the interface provides A-B mixes between main and alt monitors and headphone mixes. The HD OMNI also features a built in 14 x 26 mixer for creating monitor mixes and even provides a front panel headphone socket.
